4D Systems interface
   

 

The 5-wire 4D interface allows the connection of any of the following 4D Systems devices (and others as well but I'm still doing the research).

The following details are lifted from the 4Dsystems site.

Note also that these 4D devices are intelligent in their own right, it's quite feasible to write an entire user interface in the 4DGL language on the 4D Systems board.

uOLED-32028-P1T
 

  • 240 x 320 QVGA resolution, 65K true to life colours, AMOLED screen.
  • Screen Size: 2.8”, 49.1mm x 67.3mm with Viewing Area: 42.3mm x 57.6mm
    Integrated Touch Screen.
  • Controller board (49.1 x 67.3 x 11.0mm) with mechanical support via mounting tabs which can be snapped off.
  • No back lighting with near 180° viewing angle.
  • On-board micro-SD memory card adaptor for multimedia storage and data logging purposes. HC card support is also available for cards 4Gb and larger.
  • DOS compatible file access (FAT16 format) as well as low level access to card memory.
  • Dedicated PWM Audio pin supports FAT16 audio WAV files and complex sound generation.
  • On-board audio amplifier with a tiny 8 Ohms speaker for sound generation and WAV file playback.
  • Comprehensive set of built in high level graphics functions and algorithms that can draw lines, circles, text, and much more.
  • Display full colour images, animations, icons and video clips.
  • Supports all available Windows fonts and characters (imported as external fonts).
  • 16 x General Purpose I/O pins. Upper 8 bits can be used as an I/O Bus for fast 8-bit parallel data transfers.
  • 2 x 30 pin headers for I/O expansion and future plug-in daughter boards.
 

Note: The mounting holes on his board match those on the Gecko so the two can be mounted back-t-back.
